Transparency act
Sole AS and the work with The transparency act
Sole AS is covered by the Transparency Act. The purpose of the Act is to promote business respect for
basic human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and
the provision of services.
Furthermore, the law must ensure that the general public has access to information about how the
businesses work with this. The Norwegian Consumer Protection Authority is responsible for
overseeing the law.

How does Sole AS work with the Transparency Act?
All our suppliers must sign our principles for sustainable business practices (Code of Conduct) and confirm that they are willing to support the work towards more responsible business practices by implementing our principles in their operations and by communicating the work further in the value chain to their subcontractors and partners.
Furthermore, due diligence assessments are carried out regularly by our suppliers based on the OECD's guide for due diligence assessments. Our supply chains often consist of several tiered subcontractors. We have therefore prioritized the due diligence assessment based on an assessment of the risk of possible and actual negative consequences for human rights and decent working conditions.
If you want information about how we handle negative consequences for basic human rights and decent working conditions, a written request can be sent to sales@sole-as.com. We will try to answer a written request as quickly as possible.
